Elena Rybakina has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Ningbo Open following an unexpected turn of events in her match against Polina Kudermetova. Kudermetova was forced to retire mid-match due to a midmatch injury while trailing 5-0. This development allowed Rybakina to move forward in the tournament without having to complete the match. As a top contender, Rybakina will look to capitalize on this opportunity as she aims for further success in the competition.
