Tennis broadcast rights vary by country. The four Grand Slams have separate broadcasters in each region: Australian Open (Channel 9 in AU, ESPN in US, Eurosport across Europe), Roland Garros (France TV + Amazon Prime in France, NBC + Peacock in US, Eurosport elsewhere), Wimbledon (BBC free in UK, ESPN in US, Stan Sport in AU), US Open (ESPN exclusive in US through 2037, Sky Sport in UK). The ATP and WTA tours also sell their own rights — Tennis TV (atptour.com) is global for ATP, WTA TV is global for WTA. This page is the complete country reference.

Roland Garros
France Télévisions (day) + Amazon Prime Video (night)
The UK is the cheapest for Wimbledon (free on BBC) but expensive for other content (Sky Sport at £26/mo). Australia is mid-range — AO is free, but other Slams require Stan Sport. France has the cheapest premium tennis: France Télévisions free for Roland Garros + Eurosport at €7-12/mo for other Slams. Per Grand Slam fortnight, France works out cheapest if you only watch tennis seasonally.
How long are current tennis broadcast deals?
ESPN US Open: 12-year deal through 2037 ($2.04 billion total). Stan Sport Australian rights: through 2029. BBC + ESPN Wimbledon: through 2027. Discovery+ pan-European Eurosport tennis: through 2031. Tennis TV (ATP-owned): perpetual (it's the tour's own product). Most deals are renegotiated within 2-3 years of expiration, so checking current rights every January is wise.
Do all 4 Grand Slams have to be on different broadcasters in each country?
No, but it usually works out that way because the Slams negotiate independently. Sometimes a single broadcaster wins multiple Slam rights in one country (e.g., ESPN holds 3 of 4 Slams in the US: AO, Wimbledon, US Open). But Roland Garros frequently goes to NBC/Peacock in the US, breaking the consolidation pattern. In most European countries, Eurosport carries 3-4 of the Slams.
Why does Roland Garros sell night sessions separately?
France's Fédération Française de Tennis (FFT) introduced night session matches in 2021 and immediately sold those rights to Amazon Prime Video as a separate package. Day sessions remain on France Télévisions (free). The split was financially driven — Amazon paid significantly more for night-session exclusivity than the FFT could earn from selling them with day sessions. It's the only Grand Slam that splits day and night session rights.
Does Tennis TV work everywhere?
Yes — Tennis TV is geographically global. Same subscription works in any country, same library, same prices ($120/year regardless of where you sign up). The only restriction is that Tennis TV does NOT carry Grand Slams (those have their own regional broadcasters). For ATP tour matches, Tennis TV is the most consistent global option.
Where can I watch ATP Finals 2026?
ATP Finals (held in Turin through 2025, possibly moving thereafter) airs on the same broadcasters as the rest of the ATP tour in each country: Tennis Channel + Tennis TV in the US, Sky Sport in the UK, Stan Sport in Australia, Sky Sport in Italy (the host country) and Eurosport across Europe. ATP Finals get extra premium coverage from Tennis TV with all-court multi-feed viewing options.
